Supanova Setup 2016
posted by Kylie Leane on November 18, 2016

It's that time of the year folks!
Supanova as arrived in Adelaide. This year I am super excited, because I'll actually have two books! *squeee*
Dad and I headed down early to set up my little booth. It was Dad's first time going to 'Bump In' and it was really fun being able to show him what it all looks like 'before' the show -- so to speak. I really enjoy the environment and honestly could stay there for hours just watching the whole place come to life like an unfolding colourful flower.

This year I think is the best setup I've had. I made a new banner -- the last one I had was too big.

My new pop-up of Zinkx, Shanty and Sam was deemed to big for much use -- I also abandoned it -- but Dad was determined to figure it out and after some contemplation he managed to fit it onto the back wall.

Needless to say, I am very grateful Dad came along. I wouldn't have managed to set up without him. Another eye on problems really helps to work things out. Thanks Dad.

I am really excited for this weekend. I am very shy, and find it difficult to talk about my books, but I'm going to make an effort to really try hard -- you're as confident as you pretend to be, right? XD That's how it works...

This year I'm also going to cosplay as a character from my favourite anime -- I wasn't going too originally, but a couple things have changed lately that's made me feel more confident in doing so. What's my favourite anime of all time, I hear you ask? Why, what a great question! I mean, I watch a LOT OF ANIME. Surely I don't have just ONE top anime.
I do.
It's pretty hard when my anime list is a mile long, but my favourite anime isn't my favourite anime because it's an amazing story, or has amazing art, or anything...amazing...like that.
It's a cute, adorable romance. It wins top spot simply by being adorably romantic. I'll watch it over, and over whenever I feel sad and it'll make me feel like the world's a better place.
That's why Akagami no Shirayukihime (or Snow White with the Red Hair) is my favourite anime.
If you want my recommended list of animes -- well -- that's another whole blog entirely. I could go on FOREVER.

I'll be cosplaying as Shirayuki -- or attempting too. I'm still not sure about my red wig. It's a bit...hmmm...meh...gotta get a better one (I'll work on it.)

So if you're heading to Supanova Adelaide this weekend, I hope to see you there!!
Cheers,
KL
